Did you know that you can make a finger-licking good barbecue sauce from jam? It's true - and it's super easy to do!
The nice thing about homemade sauce is that it can quickly be made from pantry and refrigerator staples - and it tastes so much fresher than the grocery store varieties.
Raven's Nest jams, made with the freshest fruits and that signature "sweet with a little heat" flavor profile, are the perfect addition to your homemade grilling sauce recipe.
While any of our jams would work great, we are loving the Blackberry Jalapeño and the Hot Peach right now. Give this BBQ sauce recipe a try - you won't be sorry!
Sweet + Heat BBQ Sauce

- 1 cup jam of choice (we tried Hot Peach and Blackberry Jalapeño)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T water
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until sauce is thickened and smooth, approximately 5 minutes.
- Use sauce immediately, or allow to cool and then store in an air-tight jar in the refrigerator.
Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator up to 1 week or 6 months in the freezer.
