Have you heard the news? It's so easy to make uniquely flavorful simple syrups for cocktails with Raven's Nest jam (we call that a jamtail around here!). With just 1 cup of jam, 1/2 cup of water, and a few minutes on the stove, you'll have yourself a jar of versatile simple syrup that can be used to create this refreshing cocktail (or mocktail!). The creative possibilities are endless!
This recipe features one of our favorites - Cinnamon Pear Jam! The fresh pear flavor combined with just the right amount of cinnamon + sweet makes this jam a crowd-pleaser. It pairs beautifully with your favorite cheese (brie, extra sharp white cheddar, or Manchego), sliced pears, and a glass of wine.
Serve up this cocktail while watching the Grammy's, at your next girls night, or a treat yourself to a little pick-me-up at the end of a long day.
We hope you enjoy it. Cheers!
Pear Vanilla Gin Fizz
Pear Vanilla Simple Syrup Ingredients
- 1 cup Raven's Nest Cinnamon Pear Jam
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Combine jam, water, and vanilla in a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat until bubbles just begin to form. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes, then remove from heat. Allow mixture to cool for 5-6 minutes, then pour through a fine mesh strainer into an air-tight jar or bottle. Once the mixture is cool, you're ready to start making cocktails!
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Pro tip: Have an empty Raven's Nest jam jar? Repurpose your jar to store your simple syrup!
