Ingredients
- Baguette, sliced into thin rounds
- Olive oil or melted butter, for toasting
- Filet mignon
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- Garlic & herb Boursin cheese
- Balsamic caramelized onions
- Raven’s Nest Gourmet Raspberry Jalapeño Jam
- Fresh chives, finely chopped
Instructions
1. Toast the Baguette
Slice the baguette into thin rounds and brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
Toast until golden brown and crisp around the edges. Set aside.
2. Grill the Filet Mignon
Season the filet mignon generously with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Grill over medium-high heat until cooked to your preferred doneness. For medium, cook until the internal temperature reaches approximately 140°F, then allow the steak to rest before slicing.
Once rested, slice the filet mignon thinly against the grain.
3. Caramelize the Onions
Prepare balsamic caramelized onions until soft, golden, and deeply flavorful.
4. Build the Crostini
Spread each toasted baguette slice with a generous layer of garlic and herb Boursin.
Top with a thin slice of grilled filet mignon, followed by balsamic caramelized onions.
Add a small spoonful of Raven’s Nest Raspberry Jalapeño Jam.
Finish with freshly chopped chives.
5. Serve
Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and serve immediately.
