Ingredients

Spiced Pear Syrup:
Cocktail / Mocktail:
  • 2 oz Gin or NA alternative (like Lyre's Dry London Spirit)
  • 2 ounces pear nectar or puree
  • 1/2 oz Spiced Pear Syrup
  • 3-4 oz soda water
  • Fresh sage, thin pear slices, cinnamon sticks (garnish)
To make the spiced pear syrup (video instructions provided): In a small saucepan, combine jam, water, and mulling spice in a pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Let cook for about 30 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.  Strain it through a mesh colander into a jar, and keep handy in the fridge.

To make the cocktail: Combine spirit, nectar/puree, spiced pear syrup, and soda water in a glass with ice.  Stir well and garnish with a thin pear slice, sage leaves, and a cinnamon stick.
